BELHAVEN TOWN COUNCIL POLICY

PUBLIC COMMENT
Citizens will be allowed 3 minutes to speak on any issue of importance to them during the public comment portion of the meeting.  The public comment portion of the Town Council Meetings are at the beginning of each meeting to allow for citizens to be heard in the most timely manner.   No prior registration is required.  The Town Council will not take any action on items mentioned during public comments, but will reserve the right to take action at the following Town Council Meeting.

AGENDA ITEM
If a citizen would like to speak during an agenda item, prior registration is required.
Sign-up will be available in the Municipal Building during normal business hours up to 5 PM of the day of the meeting and at the meeting place from 6:30 PM to 6:45 PM.

ONLY PERSONS WHO HAVE SIGNED UP WILL BE RECOGNIZED DURING DISCUSSION OF AN AGENDA ITEM.
