The men and women of Belhaven Volunteer Fire and Rescue provide Belhaven and the surrounding area 24 hour protection from fires, rescues and other emergency hazards to life and property. They also provide mutual aid for other fire departments in Beaufort and Hyde counties.
The department presently has an engine, two engine/tankers, a tanker, a brush/crash truck, and breathing air/compressor trailer.
Our mission is to provide our personnel with the necessary training and equipment to stay on the cutting edge of the emergency services for our citizens. This is accomplished through dedication, motivation, integrity and professionalism of the department’s membership.
Since we are a volunteer organization, giving our time and energy freely to serve the community is our biggest asset. In return, meeting the expectations of our citizens is our biggest reward. Belhaven Volunteer fire and Rescue will continue to improve its operations in order to better protect the lives and property of the citizens.
